Tea

Tim Bunn's Comments from The Match Report 2008

Graveney were licking their lips at the prospect of a cup of tea and a sandwich. But any thoughts of a run-of-the-mill tea were soon eclipsed by the sight of the veritable smorgasbord laid on by the professional caterer. It has to be admitted that your Reporter was over-excited about the cocktail sausages, which (after some research by Rob Davies) had been marinated in honey & wholegrain mustard, but it was difficult not to enthuse about such a fine product. I lost count after 11 sausages, when my eyes were drawn to mini-meringues generously filled with whipped cream. Perhaps my only criticism of the day was that the meringues could have benefitted from sliced strawberry but it seems almost churlish to clutch at culinary straws in this instance

The teas at Falconhurst seem to have gained a reputation locally, as, about 15 minutes before the end of the first innings, a crowd of various family & friends of the home team descended on the ground, only too keen to mop up any remaining food

Nearest Pub

Kentish Horse. Good size pub with garden. Adkins local bitter recommended.
