John O'Ds Review Of
Tadworth |
Location
|
The
Green, Mill Road, KT20 7TE (Off A217) - 6
miles from Reigate.
|
|
Pavilion
 |
Following
a fire a new pavillion was opened by Alf Gover in 1993. Very "Spic
and Span" - Large bar, taking up most of the lounge area. Beers -
John Smith's, Badger, IPA, Fosters and Youngs. |
|
Changing Room

|
Small......Noticeably
smaller than the home team's! The team kitbag should be left
outside!
|
Showers
|
Modern system in good working order. |
|
Tea
 |
Buffet
style....Rolls, cheese, ham, quiche, pickles - very up-market! |
|
Nearest Pub
 |
There
are two pubs within 20 yards of each other opposite the ground on the
Dorking Road. 'The Blue Anchor' (where the team meets) and 'The Dukes
Head' (where the chairman drinks on his own!) Both pubs are within walking
distance of the ground. (see photo at left)

|
Odd spot |
Very long
walk (100 yards) back to the pavillion if playing on outer strip. Seems
even longer if you are out for nought!!! |
|
Footnote |
Probably the best kept
ground Graveney have visited. |
