John O'Ds Review Of Woldingham

Location

Airial View of Woldingham - Note the tear-drop shapped pitchNear Caterham and the A22, 12 miles from Reigate Town Centre.

The ground is in Croft Road - behind St. Paul's Church

Pavilion

The pavilion was built in 1935 and is steeped in history. It has a bowls room. Tea Room is also a nursery school. There is an upstairs to the pavilion which has a flat.

Graveney presented Woldingham with a special trophy to mark their centenary in 2000. John O'D denies having played every year at Woldingham!

Changing Room

Small but cosy.

Showers

Small room. Has those annoying push button showers where the water stops flowing before you have done anything useful. The Urinals were very clean.

Tea
The Tea At Woldingham 2nd September 2000

Sandwiches, cakes, cut apples, nicely presented.

Nearest Pub
Botley Hill Farmhouse

Woldingham is a 'dry parish'. The nearest pub to the East is 'The Botley Hill Farmhouse' (yes this is a link to their website!) which has a good range of beers, friendly service and excellent although pricey food. Good garden including area covered with an awning. Yet another food oriented pub.
Woldingham use a social club nearby that has a snooker table and from where we saw Kelly Holmes get Gold in the 1500 in 2004.
