"Heavy Rain ends Game”

A depleted Graveney team went to Thames Ditton to find the home side also lacking in numbers. A 30 overs game was decided upon.

Captain Rob Davies, won the toss, and put Strenue in to bat. Strenue rattled up 158-2 in their allocated overs with opener Tim Davies 83 not out.

'Gary' Best and Rob Davies opened the batting for Graveney. With the score at 10-0 in 4 overs, heavy rain arrived to end the game.

Rain stopped play.

Champagne Moment. Malcolm Wells with a one-handed diving catch off his own bowling (1-28). Rob Davies took the only other wicket to fall.
